Coming to realize, if you use your time wisely, time can really help you get shit done.

So, what does it mean to use your time wisely? Imo, it means to fulfill the following conditions.

  • always measure the amount of time that it takes for you to do a certain task.
  • keep a log of it (even if just mental) and try to see how you can better your times.
  • keep improving and doing this cycle.
  • plan your day to restrict the time you take doing certain tasks, thus ensuring you aren’t going to waste any time.

I took it from timing my run this morning, which was to find the pace I kept in a 20 minute run. The concept of time limiting is powerful. It keeps you from wasting time and forces you to be productive in that limited amount of time.

Has anyone ever told you that the more time you have, the less you get done? The cure is the reversal of just that: give yourself a limited amount of time for a given task, and you’ll get more done. (I am speaking from the perspective of (daily/weekly) tasks; other lifelong goals may not fit this rule well.)

(I wrote this post in 10 minutes! yay! Now I can move on to other stuff)

In conclusion, if you learn to be strict with yourself with regards to your time, you are going to get more accomplished, and feel more accomplished and good.

Thus, time is your best friend. If it doesn’t feel that way, is because you’ve been treating such friend the wrong way.
